Award winning Rhyl & District Musical Theatre Company, who are currently hard at work rehearsing for their upcoming production of Jekyll & Hyde the Musical, which is being performed from 15th to 18th November at The Little Theatre in Rhyl, have a double reason to celebrate at the moment.

The Company have been fortunate to attract the support of two highly acclaimed members of the theatre world, both of whom have agreed to become Patrons of the Company.

Well known West End Musical Director, Composer, Music Supervisor and performer, Gareth Valentine, has recently accepted an invitation to become a Patron of the Rhyl based company. Mr. Valentine has worked and performed in West End shows involving many famous artists, composers and directors, including Lord Andrew Lloyd Webber, Sir Trevor Nunn, Ben Elton and Steven Sondheim. He has worked as a Music Supervisor in shows which have featured the likes of Sir Ian McKellen and has been involved in the recording of a variety of albums including Chicago, Love Never Dies, Company and Anything Goes to name but a few. Mr Valentine has also conducted many orchestras including The Royal Philharmonic Concert Orchestra and The BBC Concert and Symphony Orchestras.

In addition to Mr Valentine’s association with the Company, they are also very fortunate to have the support of 2017 Olivier Award winning actor, Rebecca Trehearn as a new Patron. Ms Trehearn, a native of Rhyl,has appeared in many West End and touring productions including Showboat,(for which she received the Olivier award) City of Angels, Ghost, Aspects of Love, Dogfight, Dirty Dancing and We Will Rock You.  More recently she has appeared at the Southwark Playhouse in a production of Diary Of A Teenage Girl.
